Wes asked me to marry him on saturday morning at the beach during the sunrise! I will write more about it later...but just want to say how faithful the lord is! So many nights (when we weren't together) I would cry myself to sleep wondering why the lord ever allowed us to be together because it hurt so bad . . . and now to look back and see how he used EVERY little trial to bring us to this point! I am reminded of how the Lord is so Sovereign and is ALWAYS in control, even when nothing seems to make sense to me! He knows the big picture and has so many blessings in store for those who love him! Thank you lord for bringing this wonderful (and adorable) boy into my life to help draw me closer to my precious savior!

Katie, Congratulation on your engagement. I thought Wes did a great job picking out your ring. I hope this pre-wedding season will be sweet with your mom and family. I remember someone told me before Abbey's wedding "that a wedding is not a production, but a wedding." I thought that was such a good perspective. Everything doesn't always go perfectly, especially if children are in the wedding party; but it doesn't really matter. What matters is walking through the planning and wedding in a God-glorifying way and enjoying the process. If you need any help, let me know.
